About Me

A former editor for a television news channel, I now work in the development sector with an international NGO, where I use my energy, skills, writing for a cause close to my heart: child rights. When i’m not travelling to villages in Maharashtra, writing human interest stories or shooting photographs, you will find me in the kitchen, making traditional Konkani food, trying out my grandmother’s recipes, trying to innovate and find a balance between my palate (tangy) and my husband’s palate (sweet). I also enjoy a good book, a gripping crime tv drama, gardening and heritage places. I also love writing

This blog reflects all these loves and much more.

Hi Namrata! I came across your blog through Masala Art! Great blog! Also, it’s funny my best friend is also called Namrata, she is Indian-Sudanese-Irish! And then another friend (German) is moving to New Dehli in April and I hope to visit her in the summer!
